Alex’s favourite tours

A diffi cult tour, fi rst uphill on byroad, then on unpaved track to Mount Telegraph at 2.486 m. The panorama on the Eisack valley is unique. The effort during the uphill is rewarded with a long downhill to Brixen/Bressanone. Starting from the Hotel Krone in Brixen/Bressanone towards east, cross the river Rienz and follow gravel road no. 9 to Albeins/Albes. On the town road alongside the Aferer river following the red-white sign and uphill the Aferer valley. At Schmied, follow gravel road no. 10 and at the second intersection turn left. Follow road no. 29. At the next intersection turn right and uphill to refuge S‘Stübele. Pass near the Odle and then on gravel road staying left to Refuge Plose. From there follow sign no. 6, cross the mountain pass Plose and the Ochsenalm until the road. From there downhill to Hotel Gostner, then on road no. 146 towards St. Andrä. At the second intersection turn right and on gravel road 4-5 return to Brixen/Bressanone (starting point). Alex recommends: Enjoy biking in height!
