- Cancellation from 2 days before arrival, late arrival or early departure: 100% of the total amount of your stay

SUSTAINABILITY
SUED-Sustainable-Level-1_RGB_RThe Sustainability Label South Tyrol is based on the criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), which were developed to provide a uniform understanding of sustainable tourism. These criteria can be divided into four different areas: Management, Socio-economy, Culture and Ecology. The sustainability label enables destinations and accommodation/gastronomy businesses to make their commitment to sustainable development visible to all. Because sustainability is a long-term path, there are three levels of the label, which are checked by an audit. For each level, different criteria have to be fulfilled, whereby the third and highest level corresponds to the GSTC certification and is thus internationally recognized..

BIKE
Alex is a cycling fan through and through – and the Krone is also a cycling hotel through and through. We offer a fantastic starting point for biking through the Eisack Valley holiday region, several guided tours a week, a bike room with a small repair shop, a place for washing bikes, the latest bikes of all types for hire, digital and analogue tours – personally tested and put together by Alex – as well as books, magazines and information about bikes, partnerships with specialist bike shops, luggage transport and more besides! Alex is definitely your man for any questions or discussions about biking!

BRESSANONE
Officially the oldest town in Tyrol, the Bishops’ City of Bressanone is a cultural gem with numerous imposing buildings and an impressive history. Worthy of mention are the Cathedral with its cloister and the newly designed Cathedral Square, the Parish Church, the Millennium Column, the Gothic Town Hall, the Hofburg (Bishops’) Palace and the Diocesan Museum. And Bressanone also does modern! There are plenty of cultural and other events, from sports to rock music, from humorous to serious, that will get locals and visitors alike up and off their sofas. A particular highlight is the Decadenz Theatre in Stufels, the oldest part of the city. Strolling through the city also reveals a host of cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants. And then there are all those boutiques and shops…!
Alex and his team at reception know their city like the back of their hand... so let them share some tips with you!
D
DRINKS
The Krone is a lively place, right in the midst of the pedestrianised area. And so is our bar, which is open to the public from 7:00am until 11:00pm. Come and have a look – it's always the right time for a drink!
E
EAT – BREAKFAST, PIZZA & DINNER
Eat, sleep, repeat! Food is served all day long at the Krone – in the following order…

Breakfast:
served daily in our restaurant, from 7:00am for early birds until 10:30am for late risers, with sweet and savoury items, light bites and hearty fare, from morning classics to the latest trends. Breakfast is in all cases a high-quality affair, where possible using regional, seasonal and – last but not least – tasty produce!

Neapolitan pizza: In the evenings from 6.30pm to 10pm, we serve pizza! Not the usual variety that you generally find on menus in these parts either: Our pizza is the stuff of legend, as is the great Neapolitan art of the “pizzaiuolo”. Only the very best of ingredients are good enough. Three cheers for fresh, seasonal produce! And, let us not forget the immense passion which our "Pizzaiuolo" infuses into the fragrance, the colour and the tastes, bringing them together as a masterful composition atop the round dough. You have to try it to believe it!

Dinner: our restaurant is open in the evenings from 6:30 to 9:00. Diners may choose from the à la carte menu with a weekly set menu featuring seasonal dishes complemented by daily changing specials.
Where possible we try to incorporate local produce into our cooking: such treats include game and wild herbs and plants from our natural surroundings, where Alex regularly spends his time as a modern-day hunter-gatherer. The Krone’s classics are also highly popular, for example our deliciously simple (and simply delicious) pasta dishes, or our Krone burger, made from locally reared beef.
S

The hotel and the tourism office also regularly offer guided walks that you are welcome to take part in. Current events are listed in the Krone’s weekly programme. You can also leave your equipment and hiking boots in our sports room.

Our massages and beauty treatments are especially popular for relaxing after an action-packed day or for achieving that perfect (holiday) look.
Opening hours: daily from 9:00am to 9:00pm. The sauna and steam bath are open from 4:00pm, or even earlier on rainy days or on request…
